Review of Recreatie Vakbeurs 2025
In November 2025, the Recreation Trade Fair took place at Evenementenhal Hardenberg. This annual event is a key meeting and networking moment for professionals in the recreation sector. From November 11 to 13, more than 360 exhibitors and an extensive knowledge programme came together under one roof.
Booth, models and conversations
NexHus was present with a booth showcasing, among others, the compact models EINAR and STUGA. Throughout the fair, we engaged in many conversations with park owners and project developers from various segments of the recreation sector.

Several recurring themes emerged during these conversations:
Growing interest in homes that are sustainably deployable, have a long lifespan and require manageable maintenance.
A clear demand for solutions where the construction process and planning cause minimal disruption on site.
Increasing questions about alternative housing concepts, such as informal care homes, leading to further exploration.
These insights align closely with the purpose of the Recreation Trade Fair: creating space to discuss current developments and challenges within the recreation sector.
Key themes from conversations
Across multiple discussions, three themes stood out consistently:
the need for overview and predictability in projects
the wish to stand out without adding complexity
a strong focus on quality that pays off in the long term
The focus was less on introducing new concepts and more on careful execution: expanding capacity without losing tranquillity on site, keeping maintenance manageable, and aligning design with operational use.

What we take into the coming year
These themes reaffirm an approach in which design, process and collaboration are central. For projects, this translates into:
models that can be scaled without losing their character
a construction process that puts minimal pressure on the site
homes that are functional in daily use and easy to maintain
Personal contact remains essential
The fair once again highlighted the importance of personal contact within the sector. Through direct conversations, practical questions become concrete and specific situations can be followed up efficiently.
